Here I am, an 82 year old retired teacher with a number of hobbies, reading, choir singing, languages.....but none involve any manual dexterity (I wonder why!).
I'm looking for some hand held craft I can pick up and do in odd moments like my late mother-in-law used to pick up her knitting. At this late stage in life I feel the need to try some handicraft - but no blades or sharps - no desire to spend more time in A&E.
Any suggestions please

Re: Craft Activity
Something like origami or other paper craft perhaps
Creative writing or even lego.
There's something of a crossover with ADHD traits so sometimes we can find we struggle with motivation.

Re: Craft Activity
Thanks for comment . Papercrafts seem worth investigating. Lego is interesting - I did enjoy my boyhood Meccano set.

You could look into cross stitch, or charted embroidery in general (Suspicious url removed by Admin). It might seem fiddly and intimidating but you can get a low count aida fabric with large holes & tapestry type needles which are dull and have thick edges, and dig in. I used to be real jealous of the peace of mind knitting and crochet gave my sister & grandma, respectively, when I couldn't pick either up, but the math-y technical side of charted embroidery, along with it being easier to Hold, have been quite good for me, and it's rather cheap.
