It's def s pain in the arse as too often we feel as if we're at war with everyone and everything.
If we didn't give an F£%#it might be easier but v often we care too much and that hurts.
If you assume everything will have worst possible outcome that can help in that things might not achieve level of dire prediction. But equally we need a balance of some optimism otherwise everything will always feel bleak and the people we need to cheer us up won't respond in any kind of positive way as they can't or won't accept we have as much right to vent.
