Hello, I'm currently trying to learn to drive, but my spatial Awareness issues that are part of my Dyspraxia are making driving in an Automatic car difficult, despite trying for a year.
Does anyone have any advice on how to find an instructor who understands Dyspraxia? The ones I've had in the past have been patronising and made me very emotional.
And I'd also like to learn as fast as possible, because some people are putting pressure on me to learn, despite me asking them nicely not to.

Re: DRIVING LESSONS
It is so long ago when I learned to drive - I have no advice but have seen posts in the past from driving instructors who specialise in teaching dyspraxics - were I starting out now I think I would search the forums and tr to find recent learners in my area (Essex, UK) and ask who taught them.
I never give advice and if anything I say sounds like advice - sorry I did not express it clearly.

Hi
Some Driving Instructors do cater for those with disabilities/differences. Believe there is a network/association.
It's really important to find an instructor who makes you feel relaxed, comfortable and confident so you can learn effectively.
