General Neurodiversity (credit to Fran - Thank You)
Not dyspraxia specific (focus tends to be on ASC) but these are some fantastic books by neurodiverse authors that I've read:
Odd Girl Out - Laura James (later life ASC diagnosis)
Letters to my Weird Sisters - by Joanna Limburg (letters to women from history the author feels were autistic)
Fingers in the Sparkle Jar - Chris Packham (this is really poetic prose about the natural world but covers ND sensory happenings too)
Drama Queen - Sara Gibbs (very funny - Jewish later life ASD diagnosis by a comedy writer)
Uncomfortable Labels - Laura Kate Dale (my personal favourite - looks at the cross over between ND and LGBTQIA+ via video game metaphors)
For younger readers:
Geek Girl - Holly Smale (teen girl fiction, but by a ND author)
A Different Sort of Normal - Abigal Balfe (what my child says everyone should read to understand ASC)
The Gifts of Autism - (aimed at younger children - child liked it but I was a bit Meh)
Finally, my absolute favourite book resource:
https://airtable.com/shrLEgiucjOU1ICfU/ ... ycLrDzxIJt
It's a list of books by/about different neurodiversities.

Re: Help! Mental Health, Emotional and mental wellbeing
I didn't know that anxiety was characteristic of dyspraxia till recently. Thanks Tom, very thoughtful of you to post this.
Re: Help! Mental Health, Emotional and mental wellbeing
I would say anxiety is a standard reaction for many of us. If anyone has any tips and/or has managed to banish it and has a universal solution please share your secret and let us all know. A dark and warped sense of humour can only go so far! :-)

Re: Help! Mental Health, Emotional and mental wellbeing
Anxiety is something that occurs with my Asperger's and schizoaffective disorder . Very probably being dyspraxic ,although not officially diagnosed , adds to that anxiety.

Re: Help! Mental Health, Emotional and mental wellbeing
I am so glad to have come across this thread. For many years I have suffered from high levels of anxiety and never really known why. Even though I was diagnosed back at the age of 4 with Dyspraxia, I was never told about how it was connected to my high anxiety.
Discovering so was a huge relief for me but at the same time, felt like a massive slap in the face. For growing up and receiving treatment, I was told at one point that I am no longer Dyspraxic. Yet this isn't to be the case as it turns out the anxiety is also just another part of it.
So yes being Dyspraxic does lead to high anxiety.

Windows desktop app: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/micro ... verviewtab
iOS app: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1212616790?mt=8
I really rate this app - easy to use, easy to share if you have friends, family or others with whom you need to share task lists.
Tile

Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... leapp.tile
iOS app: https://apps.apple.com/app/id664939913
You need to invest in hardware for this but I have found that small investment has retrieved my phone and keys numerous times, very nicely. Tile is a tag that works via Bluetooth to locate your list item/s.
