Does anyone find the first moments getting into the shower super uncomfortable and feel almost cold, even if the water is hot??
It occurred to me the other day this might be another sensory thing . I asked my non-dyspraxic husband and he was like 'no?!'.
Note - I am very sensitive to touch and also hate things like massages and am not a fan of hugs .

Hi Wish
Welcome to the Forum.
Not personally, though these type of sensory things are not uncommon for those in the Dyspraxic / Neurodivergent communities
I don't much like cold water or certain texturess of material next to my skin or in food.
Some dyspraxics like and seek deep pressure as this can help them with a variety of things including anxiety

Re: Showers!! and textures and touch.
I no longer have showering facilities at home and have never considered this before but there could be something in it though I suspect for most it is equally an issue of familiarirty.
I am old and also find hugs difficult except from with a very few people.
