Hello
Hello i am a female aged 40. work in the law, diagnosed in 2018 but found it very difficult to accept the diagnosis. I work in a very stressful environment requiring high level performance with a lot of bullying, intimidating, belittling and aggression. Hoping to find ways of coping with the stress and demands. So far have done it without any support.
Re: Hello
Hi HFS
Welcome
It definitely takes some adjustment especially if you only learned later.
I was also mid 30s when I learned (back in 2011) that I was dyspraxic. I was v used to doing stuff the hard way and not ever wanting (or daring) to ask for help as well as being way too hard on myself.
We can definitely put ourselves at risk of burnout. Some people will happily take full advantage of our work ethic but still treat us poorly.
