Help
Hi I’m new to this I’m not dyspraxia but my daughter is she is an adult now 30. I am really desperate to get her some help . She was diagnosed as a child which was fine when she was at home. She is a mum now with 3 children under 6 and she is really struggling with no support. How do we get a re diagnosis for her now she is an adult. Through the nhs if possible I’m in the Stockport Cheshire area thanks
Re: Help
Hi
Getting an assessment on the NHS as an adult is regrettably v difficult. Furthermore, if she has a childhood diagnosis, they'll probably just point to that.
Regrettably dyspraxia specific post-diagnosis aftercare and support is pretty much non-existent so it may be worth her trying to pursue other non specific help and support avenues.
There are plenty of Dyspraxia peer support groups and these are probably a better option.
