Howdy! :)

Post by JessB90 »

Hi everyone! =;

I'm Jessica, 27 and from Shropshire, England, UK.
I work in healthcare and my main goal is to improve awareness of Dyslexia and Dyspraxia in the workplace. This is firstly for myself (hopefully to make work a more enjoyable experience) and also for others who I may encounter who would like to know what support is available.

In many ways I believe Dyspraxia is a gift, I know I can come up with unique solutions and think more creatively than others at times.
I try to remind myself of this as often as possible and not get bogged down with feeling behind and always on borrowed time! (Which I do feel far too often).

Thanks everyone, hope to speak to you in threads soon O:)

Hi Jess

I think it's a great idea that people should see both dyslexia and dyspraxia in a positive light, as too often
people are focused at the negative aspects of dyspraxia and wouldn't look past the label.

I believe that People with dyspraxia should be encouraged to focus on their strengths, and to
channel these attributes into a job/career that they would enjoy.

I am also quite interested in looking into the similarities between Dyslexia and Dyspraxia, as they are
by definition separate conditions :)
