It's entirely possible that members here have access to and use various instant messaging apps Maybe once we know more about you they might feel prepared to share their nicknames via private message.

Enforced Board Policy does not generally allow or recommend sharing personal details openly in posts.

I believe there are dyspraxia Facebook groups.

Is there a reason why there's no IRC or chatbox, or has it just never been suggested?

I imagine it's because it was not an option, or was not considered an option they wanted when the forums website was set up in 2006

I'm pretty sure others have asked about such a feature
