Hi,
My name is Chris and I am looking for some Work in SWINDON, Wiltshire. I have studied hard at School and College and have been looking for work ever since leaving college. I am obviously a suffer like yourselves and would like to get my foot into something, I believe my dyspraxia/dyslexia/irlensyndrome puts people off and would like, some how to help people like myself in some way.
I am currently working in a retail charity business but would like to branch off and do something that could include my A Level in Sociology and Diploma in Digital Applications. I am good listener, work well with others, polite and a good enough typer to write this, It is is my hope that some one reads this and decides to start a coversation with me to help me find the right career path.
Whether it cleaning toilets, talking/offering advice, writing on online forums or just being a dogs body , I would like to try and offer my services to people. If you live local to Swindon or believe that I have something to offer than please you can email me at any time
For more information just talk
Thankyou
Kind Regards
Chris

Re: Recruiting
Hi again Chris
Have you investigated the career options available that might be open to you and what if any further training might be appropriate. I'm not that familiar with jobs in this field but maybe a teaching assistant or possibly a youth project worker role might enable you to pursue this.
Whilst a good employer should be prepared to make reasonable adjustments you still have to convince them that you have the transferable skills that would enable you to perform the role for which they have a vacancy. It can be a challenge finding suitable entry level positions but we do make helpful, loyal and determined employees.
I think it's good that you say that your willing to do a variety of things, but I think you need to be clearer on what you want from what is available in or around Swindon and your plan for how you will get there.
The following thread may be of interest/some encouragement.

Re: Recruiting
Hi Chris I think that if you are under 25 you can get help from connexions who might be able to guide you to further appropriate study or/and arrange work experience, another avenue is to find out if there s a volunteer service UN your area where you may be able to get some experience all be it in a voluntary capacity, for some careers I believe this the way most people start out hope this helps.
