life sure is a funny thing!

Post by FAndrews »

Okay so i went to another singles night (my friend kind of ditched me and i was unable to go as he was the transport, but my mum came to the rescue...yeah i know rather embarrassing, and she gave me a lift there and back, didn't come in thank god) but sadly the night was a bit of a waste felt like I had walked into a over 40's night with around 15 people there and nobody around my age. and the live music was rather bad as well, so i didn't last long.

But this story has a happy ending after that long thread trying to get help sorting out my OLD profile, A local girl messaged me!! we've ended up talking and she has asked me out! sadly in the profile i don't see much immediate attraction, but we do share a lot of similar interests but I hope meeting her in person will be much better and worth a shot! will keep you posted with what happens.

Glad you've had a breakthrough. Hope the meeting goes well and helps you have more faith that you can find someone.

Update: I've got news and good news it seems. so i hadn't heard from her in a little while so I went back on POF and lo behold a message was waiting for me, she wants to meet so we've been messaging about where and when. Originally he wanted to sort me out a bike for cycling or something! I haven't rode a bike in ages which I mentioned so we are going to meet somewhere and get to know each other first. maybe this will actually happen and not fall apart like I keep thinking it will.

Really hope it goes well. Try not to pressure yourself or over analyse and just try to enjoy the meeting and be yourself.

All the best!

Well i had my date and it wasn't what i was expecting. first i was greeted by her carer to tell me she had Autism, which I was unaware of but being which made me feel a bit awkward me I decided to give it my best shot. sadly I felt no spark or anything like that really, though she was nice company if a little awkward to talk to. had a nice meal and chat but was honest to her about how i could only see her as a friend and we parted on good terms. slightly disappointed but glad i went through with it.
Back to square one it seems.
