What so there's a "Gay" way to sit now? Some peoples power to jump to conclusions still amazes and saddens me.

I got hit on by a fair few guys at Uni but didn't think too much of it. Never had a girl hit on me though ever. I'm straight btw.

im female so i cant fully relate but my sister does 'joke' to me about being a lesibian coz ive only had one boyfriend that was also dyspraxic. Im straight jst dont wanna jump into a relationship with a guy that doesnt get why im different to everyone else. but i agree guys dont really wanna jump out and speak to the girl that has no coodination and acts socially awkward, not to mention the fact im in a wheelchair that plus dyspraxia makes it impossible lol
no i may not be physically alone, but mentally there is noone in sight

hi everyone, I am new on here and I have been looking at the comments everyone has been putting, I think I may be the first to say this out of everybody, I AM bisexual. before I get into this chat I need to say 1 thing, if you like MEN and act GAY but want to be preserved as STRAIGHT, you need to be who YOU are meant to be, like ME I had a very hard time convincing myself but a HARDER time telling my family, who are in no way/shape or form BIOST. my advice is tell at least 1 person who you can confide in and trust, from then on it is like stepping stones until you are comfortable. DO NOT BE ASHAMED OF WHO YOU ARE! now it is very common in dyspraxia to have trouble finding a partner the opposite sex as you, mainly for men. I myself have trouble finding an opposite sex partner and am mostly a DRUNK GAY, now I have had boyfriends in the past for a majority of weeks and months so I know it is not an attention seeking pleasure ! I know I like men and I accept it, which some people with dyspraxia can be stuck in a kind of a place where they wont, and it will drive them crazy.
my personal theory on this issue for do other Dyspraxics get mistaken for Gay? is simply this. we hate to admit it but dyspraxics have an extremely low LABIDO. which can cause mainly men to act like a woman without even realising it ! it is a common but a harmless thing that we all do. (including me).

cheers everyone p.m me if anyone fancies a chinwag or advice.

Hi

Welcome to the forums (or fora) and I'm glad you've been able to accept yourself for who you are

Writing more from a Tom perspective, rather than 'Tom the Moderator', I feel inclined (Hell may be I dare) to disagree with the 'low libido' generalisation, though I equally appreciate getting our words to mean what we want people to read is not the easiest.

I do accept that if one struggles to accept oneself the necessary appearance of confidence is missing and it is not easy to get by in our world such as it is. Sadly there also those who will exploit our weaknesses for entertainment/gain. I'll stop now as I think this could turn into a rant.

Welcome to the forum/fora and I hope there are some NW-based dyspraxics who will express interest in your proposed meet. I'm in the SW so unlikely I would/could make it. You may not get an immediate response and you may have to shelve the idea/put it on the back burner for a while until people have got to know you more.

All the best
Tom

I certainly don't have a low libido, its just very reserved and hasn't seen much action sadly. confidence can be such a crutch sometimes, you have to be who you are and not what society says what you are.
Hi G.Ritchie welcome to the forums, and being bi you get the best of both worlds i suppose ;)

Sadly so many people judge and assume by appearance as well :( rather than getting to know the person. I've been accused of being gay before a few times, but then again i have quite a few 'feminine' qualities to my personality as I've been told.

I'm a genderqueer pansexual and get mistaken for a straight girl. So I suppose you could say I have the opposite problem u_u

This is something I have never understood. "Oh you don't have a partner of the opposite sex. You must be gay!". I have had people say that, and people be shocked when I met my now wife. It makes zero sense (I know it was a joke in this case, but it isn't always). Having a partner of the same sex means you might be gay (I am fully aware of the issues with that statement, but you know what I mean in this context...). Surely the absence of a partner of the opposite sex is like saying "Your not eating an apple right now, you must love oranges!"

This happened to me in my first year of college, which was obviously awkward and uncomfortable, but also the first time I knew anyone found me attractive..so I suppose it was a good thing in some ways, but also very weird and surreal in others. Unfortunately he asked for my number - and being fresh out of hell (secondary school) as well as being faced with new people I complied, resulting in a request to go shopping with him which as I recall I dodged by simply running away (not replying).

Other than the short hair / masculine clothing stereotypes I can't really see why people would think that, do you only talk to girls?

I don't fit the butch stereotype. No I talk to both women and men equally, I actually feel more comfortable talking to men than women.
