addictions
does anyone have experience of using alcohol, cigarettes, prescription/non prescription drugs as a crutch? this can be a trait when ppl suffer social isolation and low self esteem I think. i'd be grateful for any feedback on the subject. sali x

Absolutely not no. I have never ever smoked, I very rarely drink alcohol and I have never abused drugs of any kind.
But of course it's possible to me addicted to other things... Pizza is my fix.

I'm with you there Laura - it was Gu chocolate and vanilla cheesecake for me last night (where's a drooling smiley when you need one). With Jim on never smoking, rarely drinking etc. It's just never appealed to me, food is definitely my vice.

See I have a very addictive personality. I smoke pretty much all day every day, I drink regularly, use drugs recreationally, even slightly addicted to coffee. However I would attribute that more to the environment I grew up around. Pretty much everyone I've ever known (aside from my family) partake in the above.

I have an addictive personality my outlet is shopping, I don't smoke and I don't like being disorientated so if I do go out and drink I have a limit.
cocaine's the big drug in my city but the idea of putting anything up my nose makes me gag, same with needles.

Apart from some food and shopping, no! I have never smoked, rarely drink and have never touched drugs! Just don't appeal to me at all!

gambling was mine especially when i was broke and bored at university. ived stopped now ive finished
