what can I do to protect myself?

Hello.
I feel so close to the edge.

I am struggling with understanding exam questions and essay questions.

I find it difficult to identify and describe faulty objects in accommodation and Focus Ireland didn't really examine the flat or help me get my deposit back. When I explained that I was having trouble getting my deposit back to me on the phone, they were silent and I definitly gave him the deposit. What's worse is my mother kept going on about how genuine he was and that if he says I never gave him the deposit back then she believes him. I swear to Jesus, I swear in court and I swear on my Father's grave who is deceased, that I gave him the deposit and he never mentioned that to me or the fact that he needed 3 weeks rent and instead he disclosed that information to my mother who believed his every word.

I don't how to find for my rights, identify and explain and describe faults and my confidence has greatly decreased.

Please visit a citizens advice bureau or a lawyer. If you could take a bank statement to show when you took the money out of your account it might help.
