Hello,
i'm Lottie, i'm 20 (soon to be 21) and I am currently in my last year of University. As exciting as this is, it is also making me extremely anxious, particularly in regards to getting a 'dyspraxic friendly' job....if one exists.
I was diagnosed in my last year of college and all the effort of that is down to my mum. She has been fighting my cause for years! She always knew I wasn't stupid, as my schools often told her, she always said I was absolutely fine and no-one should be telling me otherwise. She is my biggest supporter and friend and I will always be extremely grateful to her, for everything she has done.
This is my first time on a forum like this, I don't know anyone else with dyspraxia so when I express myself to my friends, about my frustration, they understand to the extent they can but it will always be limited.
Anyway, i'm sorry I have rambled on and on! It's just really welcoming knowing there is a place of understanding.

Hi Lottie. Whilst there's no guarantee that you will be able to find a 'dyspraxic friendly' job, I am glad that you have a very supportive mother. I have three immediate family members who don't want to know about dyspraxia, but I have realised that, when things get tough employment-wise, it would make a huge difference to me if they could actually be supportive.
