Dyspraxia isn't really an illness...

I have hayfever, mild exma, and a few other alergy problems.

Dyspraxia is a neurological medical disorder definately not an illness.

I get really bad hayfever but apart from that, I'm good.

I always find that from october till feb i always pick up the bugs, colds and viral infections and they take a lot longer to get rid of. i wonder if lack of sleep and resting during the day in between activities have anything to do with it. Should i get the flu jab or not this winter? But all i know is that there's medical literature out there that says i should as my stomach problem is long term (i have had it since feb) and then i read on another nhs site that i shouldn't as it would make my stomach problem worse and with the feeling knackered on top. But anyway that's quite sometime away so I am gonna see how it goes at the next hospital appointment hopefully they'll find answer. But the strangest feeling is that my sugar levels never go down, even though i am practically eating one meal a day and instead of feeling hungry i feel the opposite like i have eaten a sack of potatoes and yes i'm loosing a lot of weight. (two stone in two months completely unintentional and when I do finally eat something i feel even more knackered.

I have an undiagnosed chronic condition which presents itself like ME or MS. It's as yet undiagnosed so hard to tell what it is really. It tends to exacerbate my dyspraxic symptoms. I use an electric wheelchair for longer distances and navigating doorways with my dyspraxic brain is amusing :p

@ Spoon
Funnily enough there is research going on in links between MS and Dyspraxia . Been trying to track the papers down at the mo . Might be worth looking for !

When I was a child I caught everything going. I'm a teacher so am exposed to germs all the time. If I feel like I'm coming down with something I dose myself with manuka honey or propolis and take it easy. I get bad migraines and also have raynauds

I wonder can any one tell me if having having Dyspraxia, and Dyslexia, makes one more prone to having colds and chest infections. When I was in Primary school My mother told me I was off a lot with colds ecta. I am 59 years old now and get chest infections a lot, I know it may sound a silly question but can anyone tell me if I am correct in thinking that this is true. Thanks a lot.

I have Dyspraxia, asthma, allergic rhinitis, Asperger's syndrome, and anxiety. I also have food intolerances. As a little girl I had childhood epilepsy which was gone when I reached 14 years of age. Not long ago my psychiatrist said I also have ADD but we agreed not to make it official diagnosis since I already have Asperger's and don't need more. :P
