You remember stuff like passwords for computers and pin numbers etc and can recite a medical dictionary or remember a storyline in a book for months and months. Yet you can't remember where you put that assignment that's due on the same day and you cannot remember where you put your bus pass.

You know your dyspraxic when... you have used the moving walkways at Manchester Piccadilly train station twice a day, five days a week for the last four years but still have moments of terror when you step on or off them.

Don't get me started on what happens when the one you are on is stationary so you have to walk along it, yet the one right next to you is moving in the opposite direction and people are walking along that at twice the speed you are moving... It's like being drunk and seasick at the same time.

lololol. yeah, when you cant follow what appears to other people as a 'simple' instruction. (cos its actually a set of new instructions: 1 Look for the thing you want to quote/reply to, 2 Look for the 'quote button', 3 Click it, 4 Look for the 'type your message here' box, 5 Click in it, 6 Type your message, 7 Look for the 'submit' button, 8 Click it, 9 Wait for the screen to refresh - BE PATIENT!)

...i get impatient/frustrated sometimes.

*quick edit.. well i worked out what i thought was the right method and followed it, but there's nothing in the quote box except who i was quoting. why? where'd i go wrong?

- You loose your mobile twice in a week
- you lock yourself out of your house
- you hit a bus on the bike
- you get a tooth out, you feel absolutely no pain, despite of the infection you had
- you keep on writing it's 2001 since 2001 (but with the stupid 2010 year oyu do it even more often)
- your friends have to remind you about your commitments (the ones not written on the to-do list)
ALL OF IT IN 5 DAYS!!! Just saved £300 yeah!

So true. I swear there are some people that are naturally incredulous when it comes to handwriting, though...

You know you're dyspraxic when...

You check your phone, purse, keys, oyster before leaving your room, before opening the front door, once the front door is opened... close your front door and realise when coming home you've left your keys on your bed?! (Seriously, how?! :-k )

You manage to step on everyone's feet, or fall on top of them whilst walking out of the tube - even if it's empty?

...when you're the first person your physiotherapist has seen in ten years of practice to fall off a gym ball from a sitting position (thank goodness there was a mat underneath me or I'd have needed more physio for my other leg!)

When you see that a contact lens is missing from the case..look for it for half an hour...put the right lens in anyway...and discover both lenses in the one eye! Then not be sure which lens is which....

Ha! That's why I've never gone for contacts - it would be a disaster! *grins*

Couldn't live without dyspraxia, taking it away from me would be to take a chunk of my personality too

You're pernamently awake for long periods during the week and then you have spend the entire weekend and late afternoon and evenings in bed or on couch and it's not the typical normal fatique you get when you've had a busy hectic day in the office it lasts a lot longer. From 5 till 12 and my brain thinks it's time stay awake for quite sometime till 3am and bad cycle of repeats and waking up feeling knackered.

You know you´re dyspraxic when you´re working at Burger King and put in the ice in the papermug after you´ve put in the soda and when the soda is splashing up and out you can´t understand what you´ve done wrong...
