walking into things

Re: walking into things
I work in central London and walk a mile from the station to my office. It is obviously very busy, but I like to get up a speed. It is my habit to indicate with a gesture with my arm, to people coming towards me, which way I intend to pass them. It works well but I havent ever seen anyone else do it. It saves having to suddenly change direction and speed.

I often walk into things without realising it.

I have a delightful wooden bannister shaped bruise on my arm at the moment
I was glad I had my Doc Martins on this morning as I managed to kick a box walking through a door - I navigated the door and missed all that and ended up kicking the box - typical!
