Hello all,
After an evaluation with my university's study support, i've been told i'm mildly dyspraxic. Hurrah! My glacial handwriting and tendency to forget what i'm talking about halfway through conversation gave it away, among other things.
I'm looking for as much information as I can on this condition and joining this forum seems to be a step in the right direction. A few questions:
1. If any mods are reading this, the useful discussions thread looks great but unfortunately none of the links seem to be working. Would it be possible to have the thread updated or get a few pointers on how to find these discussions. I would be most appreciative if you can. (http://www.dyspraxicadults.org.uk/forum ... ?f=1&t=560)
2. Can anybody recommend any good books on living with dyspraxia? I personally see this as a fun disorder to have, but some strategies for minimising it's impact in academic/work life would be useful. Any home-grown tips for dealing with it would also be quite welcome.
As for shameless self promotion and attention seeking, I'm a 21 year old psychology student coming to the end of his degree. I'm hoping to resit my final year as it's only now i'm starting to find out ways to cheat my oddly wired brain.
Looking forward to chatting to people around here.

Re: Hi There
Welcome to the forum.
There is a great book called "Living with Dyspraxia" by Mary Colley. It comes highly recommended.
"Caged in Chaos: A dyspraxic guide to breaking free" by Victoria Biggs is also very good, although it's aimed more at teens than adults.
