age? too old for forum??

Post by angeline »

Interested to talk to anyone like myself a forty something and only just linking self to dyspraxia ( it didn't exist as far as the establishment were concerned when I was at school I'm sure!) I would love to be able to label mysef and discover that I'm not so odd!

Well I'm slightly younger than you  ;) but can associate with what you are saying. Problems at work led me to my suspicions, but I have never been tested for it or anything.

What led you to investigate dyspraxia?

Hi Angeline,

Don't worry about age, there are plenty of us of various ages and mixed backgrounds on here.

I'm 37 years young.. & I'm getting well stuck in LOL ~ been looking for this sort of forum for a looooooooong time!! Was diagnosed at 14, but never told I had a motor problem, just told I was an awkward clumsy child. How rude eh?! but I reasearched 7 years ago & the last 4 have been fantastic.. I've a good understanding of my limitations, but a better one of my abilitys. My probs were always not knowing how to apply myself to anything. Now that barrier is out the way & I apply myself to double everything to make up for lost time!! I'm having my 1st childhood now LOL ~ theres much to explore with oneself & dypraxia ~ it's hard to find but it's out there! Well, in my long experience its never been anywhere, til I found this wonderful forum here last week!! looking forward to chatting!!
