Happy Valentine's Day!!

Post by keiraknightleyfan27 »

Happy Valentine's day everyone!! Or as my little sis used to say, Happy ValenTIMES day!

My sister made up this song for today: It goes to the tune of Munchkinland from the Wizard of Oz:

It's a happy day on Valentine's day. It's a happy day on Valentine's day. It's a happy day on Valentine's day. It's a happy day on Valentine's day!

She was four when she made up so she said ValenTIMES day instead of ValenTINES day! lol.

Happy Valentines day for yesterday. To be honest I'm not too fond of Valentines Day - I find it over-commercialised and yet another excuse to have parties and get drunk which is not what it's supposed to be about.

It is overcommercialized. But isn't every holiday? It's horrible that it has become this way. :-({|= So sad.

My roomie calls Valentine's day singles awareness day because it makes singles like her and me especially aware that they don't have a honey. #-o

I always engage in Valentine's Day avoidance when it comes to this time of year. Like everything nowadays it's primarily a commercial cash in. Very nice if you want to use it as a convenient occasion to get together with your loved one should you have one, but otherwise it's just an annoyance as we try to avoid the terribly playlisting of love songs on the radio and schmaltzy movies on TV. For most people it's an additional aisle of things you don't want to buy in addition to all the Easter stuff that has been on display since January.

Bah humbug! lol!

I agree with some of what you said, Dan. Valentine's day not so great for those of us who don't have a honey. :-({|= I still try to have fun giving Valentines to my friends though! \:D/
