I'm very scattered in my love for music. My favourite bands are (in no particular order) The Beatles, Newsboys, Electric Light Orchestra, Tally Hall and DragonForce. Most of what I listen to are just random songs from different artists, though I listen to a lot of DragonForce.

Metallica, Muse, Disturbed, Green Day, Manic Street Preachers are all in my playlist or stereo routinely.

But my real interest in music is orchestrated film scores, which I collect.

My music is rather veried as well, but mainly from music before about 1995, I like a few things since, but it is mainly stuff from before then (apart from ballroom!!). but do like some instrumental music.

folk, country, musicals (my current big obsession!), with a smattering of rock, punk and cheesey pop thrown in for good measure, with a large dollop of 60s music to top it all up with!

I would say Maroon 5 and The Feeling take a lot up on my iPod, normally though I like solo singers more than bands.

Um, I like a lot of different kinds of music so I don't really have a favorite band.

Here are some I like:

Dashboard Confessional
Hanson (Yes, I know. But their less famous songs really speak to me, specifically "Weird" from the "Middle of Nowhere" album)
Maroon 5
Dixie Chicks (because they're women who are unafraid to speak their minds and I admire that.)
Rascal Flatts
Not really a "band" per say, but Eminem and a select few other rappers.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band.

My dad got me into them.

I'm quite different... Favourite band since I was ten (that's 1987) have been the Pet Shop Boys. Though I expect all you Rammstein fans will have heard the PSB's remix of Mein Teil! Possibly the most strangest thing they've mixed! I've met the PSB too. My conversation with them totally eight words in total! Long term memory in action again...

Me: "Hello."
Neil Tennant: "Hello."
Chris Lowe: "We should have called it "Annual"."

(Chris commenting on the fact I got them to sign a book called 'Annually', when they only released one one year and that was that!!)

for cycling I like a bit of a boost: Chemical Brothers, Prodigy and some other electronica and pop: L Roux, Black Eyed Peas,Jamiroquai, Groove Armada, Moloko, Calvin Harris, even Madonna.
