Is it possible to be dyspraxic and have good handwriting?

Post by Ginger »

I have trouble with gross motor skills and balance, and I recognize myself in many of the symptoms. But I also often get complimented on my handwriting and I can draw and type pretty well. Should I check with my doctor?

Yes. It is possible to be Dyspraxic and have good handwriting.

The list of associated symptoms is not definitive and everyone is different. No two dyspraxics will have the same combination of symptoms. It may well be that your fine motor skills are relatively strong and contribute your good hand writing.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will definitely check now. Would be nice if I could finally put a word on what has been plaguing me since childhood.
