does anyone here have sleep issues?
I have heard that dyspraxics commonly have sleep issues but don't know why. Has anyone here been through a prolonged period of insomnia that they were able to overcome? If so, how did you do it?

Yes, and no. Sorry.
Re: does anyone here have sleep issues?
I find for me it's my difficulty in shutting down my active thought processes in order to relax sufficiently to sleep.
Probably avoiding electronic devices and reading an old fashioned book' having a set routine could help.

Yes I have done since I was really young.
I used to struggle waking up in the morning because I would be up for ages.
I also had a stage of sitting in my hallway in the night to read a book because I couldn’t switch off.

That's exactly the problem--I can't switch off. Thanks

I suffer from night terrors and hallucinations, so I do have sleep issues.

I as well; however, I 've not had an episode of that since last year at this time.

I struggle getting to sleep, normally takes about 2 hours before I finally drift off.. Plus I'm a very light sleeper. Any tiny noise in the house wakes me up instantly. I rarely sleep for more than 3-4 consecutive hours at a time. It's also a good night when I get more than 5 hours of sleep to be honest! Been like this since I was a teen.

I have diagnoses of dyspraxia, ADHD and Aspergers traits .
I feel tired in the morning , I need to do exercise to wake up .
I think dyspraxia can cause sleep issues , resulting in difficulties concentrating which might be exacerbated by symptoms of ADHD.
