I could move and stay afloat quickly enough when I started lessons around 8, but not very efficiently. Sense of direction in the pool wasn’t great (once had to be pulled out of the water with that big pole after I got disorientated immediately after jumping in!), which is why I didn’t do much backstroke (my strongest stroke) for fear of drifting into others or hitting the wall.
Front crawl for going forwards, couldn’t seem to stay afloat with breaststroke.
I would like to start swimming again but will probably need to have a couple of 1-1 sessions first. Beginner would be too easy but intermediate too hard after so long.
At what age did you learn to swim , or can't you swim?

Swimming is the one sporty thing I am actually quite good at! My husband was shocked when he realised I can swim he didn't know!

But, having said that I am bad at the front crawl - but I can swim pretty long distances when doing breaststroke.

I can swim and enjoy being in the water but it makes me very tired for the rest of the day. I can't dive at all, even though many people have tried to teach me.
