Aversion To Bright, Warm Sunshine

Post by allesandro »

I have this aversion to bright, unfiltered sunshine particularly on warm summer days. Some of my most uncomfortable days are the days when most people say, "wow, what a beautiful day!!!" Like a vampire, I can't wait to get back into the shade of the house. When I was a kid, people used to say, "what are you doing in the house?, it's such a beautiful day!" The warmth only seems to make it even worse; it seems more tolerable on a cool, crisp autumn day when I can wear a hat and jacket for some odd reason. My favorite days are cool, breezy days with cloud cover. I know that sensory integration dysregulation is not uncommon with dyspraxia, but I've never heard of anyone else ever mentioning this type of thing.
