Hypersensitivity To Temperature

Does anyone find that they have a hypersensitivity to extreme temperature? I am especially sensitive to extreme temperatures especially hot weather.
I've read that this is not uncommon for dyspraxics and was wondering if anyone else had this issue?

Absolutely, yep! I always thought it was just bad circulation but I recently stopped smoking, started exercising and it's not much better. If it's slightly chilly I feel like I'm literally freezing to death. I'm usually wrapped up like it's the antarctic. I get utterly miserable at a bit of wind. I wear wooly hats indoors. I always take a bag of extra layers whenever I leave the house, for fear of getting cold. But the moment I start to warm up, I'm unbearably hot and have to take it all off again! Sometimes it feels like all I do is strip off and get dressed, all day long... Makes me very reluctant to go out, I think "is it worth the bother? Nah I'll just stay in the duvet" :)

Sensory Integration Dysfunction is really common in Dyspraxics and people on the ASD spectrum. It's not necessarily the same for everyone, but yeah, hot things are more uncomfortable for me than others. The worst thing for me personally is wet hair and bar soap though. Eww, just thinking about it is almost giving me spinal shivers. :)

I really dislike the heat. I hate the feeling of my clothes sticking uncomfortably to my skin. I normally sleep with a window open, and I hate having the heating on, in my house, when I start complaining if someone has turned the heating on to a level that I feel uncomfortable with.

I have pretty long hair for a guy, and if it is ever a bit wet, or something, my goodness - I HATE IT. I should really just cut my hair short, but I like it long! :)

I used to have a skinhead, but I have a short back and sides, with long on the top, and then slicked back with gel, but my hair grows so quickly, prefer the cold, or under a certain temp.

Interesting.
I always thought myself to be some kind of mutant considering I can endure much harder cold than anyone around (I can be lightly weared with only a short and a shirt during small rain and feel better than my friends while they're wearing heavy stuff and coats), but I also feel the heat much more than others. I really realized that both at Uni (by comparison with my comrades and teachers) and at the school where I'm working (by comparison with my pupils).

Well, I live in a cold, wet and rainy country anyway so I don't care, and at least that makes me look much tougher. But it didn't made much sense. Maybe it has something to do indeed with our common unpleansantness. Maybe not.

I also don't feel the cold aa much as my friends. I notice that I still shiver, but my actual sensation of the cold is relatively minor.
