Another thing that's worth noting if you are in receipt of disablity benefits you can become eligible for the diasbled persons rail card which gets you 3RD off most rail fares in Britain i myself applied and am waiting for card to arrive also if you have a companion with you throughout journey you can also get them the same 3rd off
