Confidence

Post by meow »

I really lack confidence and was wondering if you had any advice (wasn't sure which section to post this in)

It is affecting my life so much. I can't talk to people I don't know very well, I start to get shakey and panicy and end up rambling and feeling awkward. I'd love to make some new friends, but I have no idea how to do this. It scares me. I want to go out for a night out in the place I am in, but I'm too terrified :( . I am awful at being social...

It's affecting applying for jobs. For example, there are lot's of graduate jobs out there that I haven't applied for because I do not feel I am good enough.

People always comment on me being really quiet/not confident so it is noticeable.

Confidence is difficult to feel, but you can pretend. Sometimes when you act confident you can almost feel it. I suspect that many people aren't that confident, but they act as if they are.
