Felt such a prat
Felt such a prat. Just had mental health check including BP and weight. Stepped on scales which are only a little off the ground and lost my balance. My granddaughter who was with me had to steady me before I could be weighed.

Not sure what 'prat' means, but it's obviously not a good thing. I also have terrible balance and have embarrassed myself frequently because of it
Re: Felt such a prat
Prat = idiot (though literal meaning can also be butt cheek)
It's always worse when we do this sort of thing in public as we feel as though people will judge us as incompetent, past it or whatever which is an uncomfortable feeling and we will often judge ourselves more harshly than any observer.

Re: Felt such a prat
I think this is something most people here can relate to. Was out with friends recently and knelt down to tie my shoe lace loosing my balance in the process.
The fact that they were watching and then showed concern made me feel 10 times worse!
Justin.
