I'm 26, female, living in South London.
I was diagnosed with dyspraxia when I was twenty and doubt I would have gone to university if I hadn't been diagnosed. I used to think I am stupid until the diagnosis and these days, I am learning ways around my barrier.
I have had a lot of trouble in school due to dyspraxia and health problems and feel that mainstream education does not suit me, though I did OK. A lot of my trouble came from the fact I am articulate in how I speak, but my writing presentation is bad and my attention span is very short so I miss a lot of things. I also have trouble reading and need to be in pretty much silence... I used to have trouble with my behaviour, but now I try to be very conscious of things. I do also have some of the usual physical symptoms like I can't ride a bike, have bad balance and difficulty knowing distance... However, I enjoy the gym and hope to try rock climbing soon.
I work in the public sector with young adults... When I am not working, I have interests including the environment, community issues, human rights, health and cooking (presentation not the best, I am working on it!).
I would like to teach english abroad one day and get a second language and then go back to university.
Nice to meet you all
