Im so glad ive found you! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nick and im 23 and im from Portsmouth but lived in sheffield for the last 5 years and now currently living in epsom with my aunty while i job hunt and look for a place to live and work in London. Im into music making, comedy films and history and cats and penguins. I was diagnosed with 'clumsy child syndrome' when I was 4 and have dealt with it since that time which can be very frustrating and depressing. Two days ago I lost my job as an administrator for london probation mainly due to my lack of organisation and so now im looking for some advice and to meet some other dyspraxics out there as it sometimes feels a bit lonley and
Its not the first time my dyspraxia has affected my working life: when I was 17 I got fired from clarkes because i didnt get the shoes in the right boxes it sounds funny now but at the time I was deeply gutted. Is anybody in the same boat or has some advice? Heavy admin is not on my list right now. Im also fed up with the physical spiling side of things because I worry that my clumsiness is all that people see and trying to explain it to people who dont get it so thats why ive come to you wonderful people.
Welcome to the forum. I'm 25 and was diagnosed with dyspraxia when I was 15. I volunteer in a charity shop, for a dyslexia organisation and at my local library.
Hiya Nick, my names Carl and im 21 (22 in october). Welcome to the forum.
By the way, does your interest in history include British railways (1770 - 1963) as i am a big train fan or steam enthusiast ? !!!
I was diagnosed with dyspraxia in 2007 and bullied in school by being called names and having things thrown at me 24/7 for at least 5 years, so it must be difficult for you.
