i got assessed!!

so i got assessed this Monday(7th)and the doc told me ive mild dyspraxia and social phobia i will go back to this doc in 2 weeks time to get a letter saying i have this for collage...............

well the doc tested my memory,concentration,he gave me numbers,and after 5min of other tests he would go back to the numbers.and i told him my history,so he deduced ive two diff disorders.my mother was with me,which helped alot,if i was alone i would have been able to say noting,damn social phobia you know i cant explain some of the things that happened,all i know is that i had to draw something,remember numbers..........

I remember I had to copy some designs (over-lapping triangles, the olympic rings, that sort of thing) but ordinarily, take the rings as an example, I'd sketch the rings and rub out the overlaps and build up a picture that ends up being rather good. The test, however, was could I just re-produce this image from copying and to my surprise I found it INCREDIBLY HARD, since I kind of pride myself on my artwork (cumulative method) but straight copying was impossible!

i went back for the letter,the doc then told me he cant help me,he said he has sent a letter to my gp to sort out an appointment to a neurologist,so i called the gp today and asked him has that been done,he said yeah,but it could take up to 12months to be seen :@i need this for college!!!so i can pass my course,my sister suggested i get my doc to sign a letter sayin i have it and its a work in progress,any suggestions at what i should do?

what I would suggest is getting a photo-copy of the report, and also a note off the doctor saying that tests are being done to find out the true extent, but to give you the support and items you need in the mean time to complete the course you are doing.

they can't refuse a photo-copy of the report unless the doctor feels that it might effect your mental state, or make you want to harm yourself.

and the photo-copying takes up to 2 weeks to get, as the doctor needs to check it, and give the all clear for you to have it.
