DSA Travel Allowance

Hi Guys....

Does anyone know from experience what the DSA Travel Allowance is all about? Phoned my LEA today to find out and the person on the phone had no idea and said to write in... If they don't know what chance do I have??? Anway any help on this would be appreciated....

Do you mean dla mobility component? I dont know much bout this kinda thing cause I dont claim for these kinda things. the dsa do a travel section but its generally for students who are in a wheelchair etc and need extra cash and provisions to get to and arround uni/college. If you are a student you can get a student bus pass and then depending on you finacial circumstances you can claim back travel expences over 150 through whoever does your student loans etc. is that any use?

The DSA is intended to help you pay for additional costs related to your disability in the event that they are directly connected together with your studies. Additional costs might include specialist equipment, a non-medical helper, travel & other costs.
