Went to GP today and mentioned I was being investigated for Dyspraxia and she said 'oh yes, I saw you'd been diagnosed' so turns out I've been officially diagnosed after all, she printed me off the letter for me to keep so I can now tell people about it properly. I'm very pleased to have made it official The neurologist put in a little paragraph for employers saying that by and large I'm normal and in good health but there are some things I may need a bit of extra help with but not to write me off as I'm capable in many other ways which was nice of him. Just thought I'd announce I'd got things sorted and good luck to anyone else trying to get diagnosed!
Dyspraxia - Dx Jan 2010, borderline ASD as well plus strong Dyscalculia overlap.
Fibromyalgia - Dx Jan 2011.
Hypermobility - Dx April 2011
Willis-Ekbom Disease - Dx November 2011
I also have Eczema, Rosacea and Trichitollomania. Oh joy
thats good you've got a diagnosis i was diagnosed at the age of 5 so cant really relate to not having one but as you say at least now you'll be able to explaine things to people all the best !
