Trying to get a bus pass

Post by Jen »

Hiya all, :D

Since having my assessment in November and reading up on things I'm feeling alot more posative. I'm also understanding myself a bit more.

I now under why crossing a road or trying to drive is difficult so thought I would ask for a bus pass. But I have to registered disabiled. Spoke to a nice lady got a large form for for learning disabilities but it doesn't fit with my difficulties. Rang her back and explained this she said she would sent a physical disabilities form. But she wasn't sure that would fit either. Any suggestions please?

I got one through the council. My doctor wrote them a letter explaining about dyspraxia.

I think the best way of getting a bus pass is through the GP writing to the council, as even getting the form off them on low dla is impossible, as the form only states middle rate or higher. what they won't say is if you get a professional to back your claim, either in the services, or a teacher, or lecturer, or someone of authority. and the council won't tell you that when applying for a bus pass.

as I asked my friends mother, and she said she would fill it in for me, but I had to get the form, and the Bridgend Council won't give out the form to anyone on low rate, or not on dla.

good luck with trying to get the form for it, but I think the best port of call is the GP, and get them to explain why you need a bus pass.

The coucil where I live gave me a form and I'm only on low rate DLA. I guess it depends on where you live.
