What help is available?

Post by Rainbird »

Hi I am a new member and just wondered what help is available. I had all the symptoms of childhood dyspraxia but most of the obvious ones have faded-i.e I can tie my shoe laces now-just!-but I am 45! However I am chronically disorganised and it makes me so depressed.I feel like my whole life has been wading through chaos.I have only just realised that the utter DREAD I feel when faced with the shopping, cooking, looking after kids, packing etc. may be due to dyspraxia. I have always thought I was just lazy but faced with a big pile of washing up I sometimes feel almost suicidal! (I am a solicitor and find working life a doddle by comparison with the housework.)I seem to find it all so difficult. Can an O.T help with these things---or am I just lazy :) I also have huge probs with a phobia and with obsessions-which I read could be linked-Anyone know about this?
Thanks-Good to offload!
