3rd time's a charm.

I shall be studying for a Primary PGCE at Sheffield Hallam.

Previously graduated from

Hull University '99 - '02 with a first 1:1 (see, it can be done!) in BA Philosophy

and

Warwick university '03 - '04 with a pass in MA Continental Philosophy.

Here I go again - only this time my dyspraxia will be a known quantity and not a mystery to generations of venerated university lecturers. \:D/

Well done. :-)

Let me warn you now, however - the PGCE is for me already very intensive (It began early in Septemeber and hasn't slowed down) and time management skills are an absolute priority.

It would do you no harm at all if you started right this moment reading up on teaching English maths and science and how to plan lessons accordingly.

Wish you all the luck in the world.

Hi LJ. Yeah i've been warned of how intensive the course is - have been warned that its one of the most intensive things you can do. am already worrying about how i'll cope not just with the work but with the kids too. But i know its something i want to do anyway.

And yes. Time management is something i'm trying to improve on - have lots of uni work right now i need to be planning to do. Reading up on teaching things does sound like a good plan. Have been intendng to see if the library have any books i can borrow, or finding some good books cheap on internet to start reading up on general teaching things. Would be good preparation for the course, and wont harm me in interview to have read up a bit more i don't think. :)

Hope you're enjoying it - even though its hard work. Lucy
