hi there Allyson

Yes we do have some occasional visitors from the USA, and also Canada + plenty of other places besides. Welcome to our corner of the web. Hope the posts prove informative and please do post freely here. We are a quiet lot and the pace can be slow here.

Yes I am from the states! And I was hoping to find local help and a Doctor to refer me for testing.
I was diagnosed at age 10 with dyspraxia.
Always verbally intelligent but following directions
Writing neatly and organization always a struggle
I do take meds for Adult ADD but sometime wonder if it is an OT I need to help me with being on time doing things in a timely manner I feel like I move slower than everyone.
I am a teacher live by students and parents.
I am married and have many friends.
But it is emotionally exhausting to keep up with day to day life and I am taking meds for depression.
I think there is a better way just can’t find it.

Hi and welcome

I think a lot of us 'cope' by being especially demanding of ourselves in the hope that others will then be unable to find fault. Unfortunately this is rarely sustainable. It's a condition we have to learn to live with as regrettably there seems to be little or no help available for adults so mutual support from groups like this is invaluable.

I don't know if DyspraxiaUSA can advise, I'd also look at counselling/therapy such as CBT or mindfulness to supplement the anti-depressants.

Please feel free to come back with specific questions and I/we will try our best to help or suggest avenues to try.
