Need Advice

Post by cricketman123 »

I am 24 and have never had a girlfriend before. I have never even kissed a girl, hugged a girl or held a girls hand. I get nervous I am going to say the wrong thing. I really would love a girlfriend in the future but I don't know how. I am in a quite area in Shropshire so there are no nightclubs near oswestry

I get so upset because My stepsister and stepbrother have a nice gf and I am all alone. What do i do

Hi and welcome

I'm in many ways in a similar boat (though I think my vessel is called the Titanic!) I find I'm thinking too far ahead and worrying about saying and/or doing the wrong thing. I'm not sure nightclubs are really the best place to meet a partner as you tend to find a lot of people are in a less than sober state and you can barely hear yourself think. I don't know what local options you have for places to meet girls and I know it's difficult not to compare yourself to others and see your lack of success as being because you're somehow not worthy but that is not true.

I lived in Knockin till I was about three and up until about five years ago lived in rural Gloucestershire where I had to rely on public transport or lifts from friends family. I know this sounds all Agony Aunt/Uncle but concentrate on being happy in yourself and maximising/creating opportunities to meet people in a social setting, where you can be yourself and hopefully you'll meet some potential dates and/or female friends, one of whom may turn out to be looking for a man and mutual attraction will develop.

This is an area I and many others here struggle with so please don't feel like you're the only one. Appreciate that is not a lot of consolation. Hang in there and hopefully you'll be back to tell us how it worked out for you.

Hopefully some fellow members hare have some more useful/relevant ideas than me. Come on ladies and gentlemen 8-).

All the best

Thank you Tom. I have to admit someone on you tube with dyspraxica has really helped me out and given me confidence. Her name is Krystal and I think she is great

You're welcome

I know of Krystal and have posted links to at least of her work related vlogs here in the past. I'm sure she'd be pleased her You Tube channel content has been helpful.

Have you tried dating sites?

I was on plenty of fish and match.

I am the most quietest, social awkward girl you will meet and im overweight and i had never a real relationshop until i joined POF. theres lots of different people on there, different shapes, sizes, colours, personalities. I went on a few dates which were terrible but met some lovely guys too

I would suggest that clubbing is not the best place to try and meet people you want to have a relationship with unless you are looking for one night stands and drunk kisses.
