shocked how to say no
Hi my friend texted me today ,I'm so shocked, she knows I'm unemployed and she told me she's in debt 500 pounds because the hotel that her and her mum are going away to has taken there money out.im so shocked because I'm employed and I'm not going away with her so why ask me
Re: shocked how to say no
You can say you're sorry to hear of your friends financisl predicament but she needs to take this up with the hotel and/or her bank. It really is not you problem.

If she knows you're unemployed, it's absurd she's asking you.
You could even tell her something along the lines of, "As you know, I'm unemployed at present. Consequently, I need to make sure I have enough money to eat, keep a roof over my head and pay for travel to interviews for the next few months. I won't be able to afford my own holiday for the foreseeable future, so that means I am unable to contribute towards the cashflow of anyone else's holiday."
If she can't accept a reason like that, she's a toxic friend who ain't worth keeping!
