Dyspraxia vs long distance relationships

Post by Lau99 »

Hi all.

I've recently got into a long distant relationship with guy from Norwich, I've told him that I'm dyspraxic and he said he that he will support me and try to understand dyspraxia but whenever I'm touched by the opposite sex lovingly like maybe bum grabbing I do get over excited even with kissing but when he lives far away I yearn for his touch. This is the first time of me being in a long distant relationships and it would really help if had some tips

Chat every night on the Internet or on the phone. Try to find a way of meeting up as often as possible. Can there ever be such a thing as getting over excited when being touched? :D

I think the key is staying in regular contact, which may often prove much more challenging in a long distance relationship but is still possible if you both really want it to work. :)

Good luck. :)

Try to frame the over excitement from a male 'standpoint'

To some ladies it might be threatening especially if he is crazy enough to send a pic of it or it is possible that she might have had previous bad experiences or not knowing what he will 'expect'.

Equally performance anxiety can ruin the moment for the guy. IF you're inexperienced in these things the fear of the unknown of how other people might react to you (am I normal?) can really hold you back. Some people are quite adventurous and have no fear, while others are a lot more cautious.

It's about finding someone you trust who is willing to be considerate to your needs and not push you into doing things too quickly and before you are comfortable.

Hello,
I'm currently in a long distance relationship too. On the tips front, try to remain calm and not overthink too much. Perhaps write thoughts down, or talk to someone you trust but don't let worrying rule your relationship. Plan, when you're going to next meet as soon as you can, to have something to look forward to. Make sure you try and say how you're feeling but keep it on point. Remind them you're thinking about them with spontaneous texts. Sometimes initiate communication, even if it's a difficult thing to do, if not great.

Hope that helps.
