Relationships

Post by Robert Scotland »

Does anyone find easy to get on with people understanding when people are joking or not joking. And find it difficult to understand people with body language and other stuff. I have never had a relationship  and find making friends hard is this because of my dyspraxia?

Hi Rob and welcome to our online community here

Dyspraxia definitely does seem to make these things seem so more complicated. However, please don't think that makes them out of reach.

Meeting the right people is a tricky business for a lot of people at the best of times and while sometimes we can struggle to work out whether people are being literal, getting to know people is a two way street. There will be people who will like and want to understand the world from your perspective.

I appreciate it's never easy but you will get better at coping. Please feel free to post questions and contribute to discussions here.
