Help fixing the fact I have offended everyone :(

Hi all (i new here)

I used to have this problem majorly - not understanding context, being bad at recognising subtle signs or tone of voice.

Well I still do but this, unlike other areas is one I have got over alot

a.) If you can't think of anything to say either take an interest in something someone has said, or if their a girl use a compliment.
b.) and if people do look shocked (and boy this happens alot with me) just laugh and say the magic words "just kidding"
c.) Don't insult, be a cheeky chappy, but don't directly insult. It's a thin line but an important one

I have a reputation for being innapropriate and irreverant but I have turned it into a positive by accepting it and making laughs out of it whenever I can.
