One month today :(

Post by FAndrews » Tue Oct 28, 2014 5:51 pm

Been one month today since my girlfriend broke my heart (very suddenly and through messaging )and ended it, still feels like it happened yesterday trying to get over it but it has been a hard month, some days are easier than others and finding it hard to be happy at the moment, especially late at night when i feel most alone.
I havent heard anything from her except a message saying she is unfriending me on facebook to make it easier, all her friends did the same as well.
I know this is probably a bad idea, but i'm going to try and contact her at the end of the month and see how she has been and whether she still feels the same, i expect it to nowhere but i have to know i guess and then i can finally move on and let her go.

Hi Felix

in some ways it feels a bit of a poisoned chalice. You could try to contact her but she may just choose not to reply or come up with 'an excuse' which most probably won't soften the blow.

From the outside looking in many people would probably say let go and move on, but, put in the same situation themselves they would feel the need to find some kind of explanation, irrespective of the fear that it might be uncomfortable to hear.

The whole unfriending on FB seems to me to add insult to injury. I guess people will always talk about who is with whom but do you need to be reminded of it on FB?
I was chatting to someone on a dating site a couple of years ago, made friends on FB but soon learned she was getting back with her ex through FB. Feeling a bit glum about my chances squandered so will try not to depress you any more.

Yeah well ive had a long think about this, i am going to try and contact her so i will finally know for certain that this is over i guess and get some closure, i would rather have that than sit there just wondering what if. im not expecting to get anywhere to be honest, no response will be its own answer in a way and i can close the chapter on this and move on. there is always hope i guess.

Hello. I am sorry that your girlfriend has recently moved on and hope that your pain will recede in the fullness of time.
You do not mention why she has left you, which leaves me wondering whether it was your Dyspraxia that got in the way.
Have you had a diagnosis and are you getting any help ? Having been married to someone with the condition for many years I do understand that maybe it was too much for her to cope with. Very sad for you I know.I hope that all goes well for you.

As cold as it sounds, if someone has taken this kind of action to break off any kind of relationship with you then you are better off without them.

I know it's difficult, (I suffered a similar kind of rejection many years ago) but you can not force someome to like you or be with you.

The manner in which they broke it off suggests that the problem is with them, not you. As the way they did it is quite cowardly really.
Jim is back ... Jim is J i m and J i m is Jim.

Confused? I'd be.

She broke up with me because of a combination of being scared of how serious things were getting and also not being in love with me anymore (very sudden, said she needed a break on the Saturday broke up with me on the sunday night) :( and yes I have dyspraxia though I cant see how that could have caused problems, the reasons she ended it were all her reasons or that is what she told me at least. and yes she did it over messaging because she said it would have been too difficult in person. and no I haven't heard anything :/ her loss I guess, she gave up on the relationship not me.
