relationship

Post by Mark_1987 » Sun May 11, 2014 10:06 pm

Hello all,

My name is Mark and im 26 years old. I live in Holland and i was Diagnosed with dispraxia about 6 years ago.

i am having problems to find love. i can talk to girls, and hang out with them, but love (a relationship ) does not seem to come my way. I made a profile on serveral datingsites and ive even started to goto a bar/pub o my own, but nothing seems to work. At first i tought it was me, that i was not atractive, but several sexdates later i found out that thats not the case. So i must be doing something wrong here. I do not know what im am doing wrong. i must admit that i am not an outdoor person, its not that i spend all day inside, but most activities are things i do on my own. i think the problem is that i do not have hobbies that you do with a group of people. But things like dancing or acting doesnt interest me.

i hope someone can point me in to the right direction.

Mark

Hallo/Welkom. (I'm afraid that's about the limit of my Dutch so I will stick to Engels 8-)

I've moved this into relationships as I feel it fits better here, hope you don't mind.

Relationships including finding someone seems to be a common difficulty for many of us here so you certainly are not alone in worrying about what is correct and how to find and then maintain one. I'm still looking and struggling with the same thing. Are there any girls who you hang out with either online or in your area who have or might have shared interests?

The difficulty I've found with online dating is it's a bit of a virtual sweetshop so holding someones interest can be tricky and it's very much a numbers game to find the one person who's right for you and that feels the same way about you. I've found you have to be willing to say hi to loads of people whilst also being very patient and/or less choosy. I find sometimes I look at profiles and rule myself out as having no chance at all.

I don't do dancing either, (there aren't many dances one can do to Slayer - though I do like more moderate/mainstream music too.) I was 'tricked' into trying jive for a while when I lived more out in the countryside, but the ladies were all a bit too old and I wasn't that good or confident.

I'm not sure what your individual interests are but I'm sure there's ladies/women out there who will have interests that you can both share. Be patient and hopefully you will meet someone soon.

All the best and welcome to our online community

Thanks for the reply Tom, no i do not mind at all, i wanted to ask another question, but i decided to make a new topic and forgot to move this one. Thank you for the warm welcome!

Ive not yet met a girl/guy that shares my interests. I like to listen to music (from jazz to metal), read a good book, Watch movies, taking walks, going to concerts. I also have a hifi installation witch i use to listen to my music. Also like hanging out with friends, altough i do not have many friends.

Well, you can have love that easily. You can date women and have chats with them. In the process, you will just find yourself in love and go with the relationship.
