Going Out and Making Friends

Post by moleyface1991 »

So today has been given some advice from my brother who felt that I need to go out and get a life as he puts it. Ironically seeing that he suffered from panic attacks and needing counselling in going for job interviews and being jammed on his bloody computer and gaming all ****ing day seems to think he has the right to give me a lecture. I am dyspraxic and suffers with self doubt, self conscienceness and fears of being the odd one out. He as my brother often makes me feels like that 'your fat' 'your a retard' as he so usually presses upon me on a daily basics needs to leave me a lone and let me work things out on my own. I am going through a personal crisis at the moment and writing this so I dont have to think about it. I have little interest in what he ****ing says because to be honest if he werent my brother I would have nothing to do with him and would not even bother writing about it. If by any chance he could be reading this I hope he realises that he is just an absurdly selfish **** whom I feel sorry for because he doesnt have the ****ing mindset to realise that I dont care what he bloody thinks and if he wanted to help me why dont you offer to take me out or give me support when I bloody need it

If you want to and choose to go out do it on your own terms.

Wow this sounds like some of my family. When I got really depressed and anxious I was told I just needed to "shake myself" which was a great help as we all know life long medical conditions disappear if we just shake ourselves and get on with it (I wish).

It sounds like your brother is making himself feel better about his life by picking fault with yours. I won't say try not to let it get to you as I've been there and know that's pretty hard to do but I will say you have my full sympathy as I know what it's like to have relatives who constantly shatter your self esteem.
