Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts
That's so true. The internet does make it extremely difficult for us to discern the meaning of what is written. That leaves us so very vulnerable to projection. When I first read all of this commotion about a single word ( which was a very innocent incredulous response, not sarcastic) I was just li...

Yeah, I'm just going to say this now, I did excellently at college. Superbly. In fact, I got into the local newspaper I did so well at college. When I was at university, I wanted to either progress to further studies and become an academic/professor (I think that's a dream to put to bed now) or bec...

Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts
I don't know that one can compare spoken dialogue from a TV show with written text. The latter has no facial expression, no tone or voice inflection, etc. Therefore it might be good idea to ask for clarification when in doubt. I do, however find it interesting that just one little word could elicit...

Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts
Can see views on this are somewhat polarised. If it were possible being able to 'like' a post, it could give the poster a sense that his or her post/response had been at least acknowedged but sometimes a like can be construed as inflammatory! Yeah, I think a rating system would probably reduce the ...

Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts
[ Me thinks the lady doth protest too much. All I said was 'seriously?' The rest was your projection; those are your words not mine I apologize if my previous post was too harsh. It seems as if our wires have got inadvertently crossed. The word 'seriously' is not much used as a one word utterance o...

Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts
Seriously?? That response comes across as a sarcastic attitude of disbelief to my previous post if I understand you correctly. I was honestly doing my best to respond to your original post. You are more than welcome to disagree with me or any other responses. But your treating of forum members who ...

Re: Do any of you have weak ankles?
I definitely had weak ankles as a kid. I was always reprimanded by my parents for walking with my toes in like a pigeon. But really that was dealing with the symptoms rather than the underlying cause. As well as weak ankles, I have rather floppy joints everywhere. Nevertheless, I like to think that ...

Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts
I don't post that often. One reason is that I have an internet addiction and I have to rationthe amount of time I spend online. Some people on this site are also dyslexic as well as dyspraxic, so they might not be able to write quickly. One suggestion I have is that it would be beneficial to have a ...

Re: Article about inclusivity in Physical Education
I definitely think Ms Curling is making a positive move. One irony I always felt about PE at school was that it did not live up to its title of Physical Education:- in other words, the classes were not focused on developing the bodies and health of ALL pupils. Instead, they seemed to be more about t...

Re: Dyspraxia and N(V)LD
I have never considered myself as having ADHD but mild ADD does seem to fit. To some extent all of ASD,dysgraphia, dyspraxia and NVLD fits. I'd never heard of NVLD until reading your post. I inderstand that people with NVLD actually have excellent listening skills if this video from the National Cen...

As for ADHD I am not sure. According to https://psychcentral.com/quizzes/adhd-quiz/ Results of Your Adult Attention Deficit Disorder Quiz You scored a total of 21 Inattention Subscale: 16 Hyperactivity/Impulsivity Subscale: 5 I've just done the same test. My scores were as follows:- ADD total: 39 I...

Re: Friendship/relationship advice
Having reviewed it more and after reading what both you have said, I feel it was mainly because I feel pressured in to finding someone as i am now in to my twenties and most other people i know have someone in their life. I have often felt pressured by society into having someone. It's a really str...

Re: Asexuality and Dyspraxia
Hi all. I thought I would post this in relationships, but reconsidered, as it feels like a more general thing, rather than being explicitly connected to dating. I have always felt kind of odd, because I had significantly less interest in sex (read: none) than my friends. I like to kiss, cuddle and ...
