Re: newbie doobie doo

Welcome! I got diagnosed as dyspraxic last year, and am currently awaiting an assessment for AS although it has been pretty much decided that is the case anyway. It can be a bit quiet around here sometimes, I'm on a pretty friendly ASD forum as well http://www.asd-forum.org.uk if you want to check t...

Re: Official Diagnoses?

Hey, I got a diagnosis of dyspraxia and dyslexia in 2007. Then concerns were brought up at uni over the year and I got a provisional diagnosis of AS, dyspraxia and SID beginning of this year. Should be having a proper assessment sometime in October to decide finally if I do have AS or not. J :rolley...

Re: Update

Things are already starting to get better :D Went to the new NAS centre opening in Cheltenham yesterday, someone is helping me chase up getting my diagnosis of AS (everyone is pretty much agreed that is what it is). This morning I got a letter saying that my DLA has been approved \:D/ I might be ge...

Update

I haven't been on for a while so I thought I would post how I'm doing. I'm currently waiting for my psych to get their act together about what they are doing, they have been mucking me about for 6 months now and I'm still no further than I was at the beginning. Once the psych finally refers me on I ...

Re: I hate public transport

I thought I would come back to this post as my hate for public transport still is there. Although hate has turned into dread, I absolutely dread getting on public transport especially buses. As I have so many sensory problems getting on a cramped train/bus with no chance of movement, normally stuck ...

Re: Telephone Conversations

I hate answering the phone and find the sound of it quite distressing. I don't mind phoning my friends or mum, in fact the people who I am comfortable talking to on the phone get my long speeches about my current obsessions (poor people).

Re: Dyspraxia Co-existing with other conditions

After much arguing between CMHT and LDT they decided that they were at a dead end. Being referred again to CMHT who will then refer me to the maudsley. I wonder how long all that will take considering I have to see triage person to be referred to CMHT who then refer to the maudsley. ](*,)
