Re: The Just juicy chicken fiasco

Poor instructions are a real bugbear.

On a separate note does anyone else have difficulty tearing open those small sachets of ketchup etc you now tend to get in cafes rather than there being a bottle of ketchup etc on the table ?

The Just juicy chicken fiasco

Maybe it's just me being quite dyspraxic or maybe because in certain ways I'm thick. Went to do some "Just juicy" chicken in the bags my granddaughter gave me. Try opening one bag it splits. Try another bag it splits. Didn't try the third bag. Ending up pouring the mix into the cooking tra...

Re: Fingers

thanks - I just hope the pdoc realises the biggest part of DCD/dyspraxia is the way thinking is affected rather than just that we can have difficulty with manual dexterity. I did mention my difficulty with organising and planning and he mentioned executive functioning. Whether he was connecting thi...

From Googling " Pdoc is a compressed phrase combining psychiatrist/psychologist and doctor."

Fingers

Saw my pdoc yesterday. The possibility of ASD was mentioned. My stepdaughter mentioned my clumsiness. The pdoc had me do something that involved touching tips of fingers together. After doing it the pdoc said I was quite dyspraxic.

Re: Help for adults

I'm under mental health services and everything gets related to the psych diagnosis. Having a professional intelligent enough to pick up on things ,ie it's not all down to a mental illness diagnosis, would help. Unfortunately most mental health professionals aren't that intelligent.

Re: Toenails

I'm not sure I'd qualify to use a podiatrist. I'm not sure having difficulty cutting your toenails counts.

Clipping/cutting your toenails . Who struggles with this task? Between struggling to see them and using the clippers it's very difficult.

Re: That damned cafetiere

There were no instructions. My granddaughter tried assembling it but the rubber seal to go round it kept dropping off. As it is my stepdaughter found a bigger one for me that was £3 cheaper and didn't have to be assembled. It works well. It also has a scoop for measuring out the coffee. I use 2 scoop...
